Is This the Way?

As an introduction to this newest book of poetry Steve describes his feelings behind this offering to his Beloved: “I am a lost and bewildered guide, stumbling through an almost impenetrable jungle, blindly pointing to a distant thicket and saying, ‘There, don’t you see Him, moving behind those branches?'”

“Which is a the bigger joke, that you have me doing this, or that every now and then, someone exclaims, ‘Yes, I see Him!'”
